<\/a><\/p>\nSurti<\/span><\/p>\n Surti<\/em> is my first collection of Punjabi poems published by Nanak Singh Pustakmala, Amritsar, India in\u00a01979. Its second and enlarged edition\u00a0was published by Third Eye Publications (London, Ontario) after a decade in 1989.<\/span><\/p>\n Most poems in Surti are experimental and reflect my interest in science. Delhi University’s Punjabi Department \u00a0has been especially\u00a0receptive to these poems. Dr.\u00a0 Sutinder Singh Noor, the department chair, has prescribed the book in graduate studies and discussed the poems extensively in his classes while Dr. Vanita has done much to elucidate their post modern style.<\/span><\/p>\n SELECTED COMMENTS <\/span><\/p>\n “I feel, with these poems, Ajmer has expanded the scope of Punjabi Language, and has quietly given a new turn to Punjabi poetry.
