NAAD FESTIVAL OF MUSIC AND DANCE \u2013 2016<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

One of Canada\u2019s leading Indo-Canadian performing arts organization, NAAD FOUNDATION is holding its annual festival on 28 October 2016 in Surrey Arts Center<\/span>, <\/span><\/span>Surrey BC,<\/span> starting 6:30 pm. The program will be emceed\u00a0by popular social activist Meera Gill. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The festival will present several items of semi-classical, popular and fusion music by well-known and accomplished Naad musicians: Amarjeet Singh (tabla), Gagandeep Singh (vocalist), Dr. Bruce Harding (flute), Surinder Khaira (drums), Coach Sandhu (guitar)<\/span>,<\/span><\/span> Baljit Singh (Dilruba)<\/span> and Nikki (Tanpura).<\/span><\/p>\n

The highlight of the program will be dance performances by famous Kathak dancer Mangala Bhatt<\/strong> of Jaipur Gharana coming (from India) especially for this program. <\/span><\/p>\n

This Year the festival will premiere a Poetry film Our Victory<\/strong><\/em><\/span> based on a\u00a0poem written by poet-dramatist Ajmer Rode. The film is produced by multi-talented artist Gagandeep Singh and\u00a0<\/span>directed by photographer & up-and-coming director Gurleen Suri.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The festival will also release\u00a0a new publication <\/span>Punjab Paintings<\/span><\/i><\/strong> produced by famous Indo-Canadian artist Jarnail Singh.<\/span>\u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n
